FindBiometrics is at Money20/20 Europe in Copenhagen this week, bringing you the identity-focused coverage and commentary from the most exciting FinTech conference of the summer, along with our sister site Mobile ID World.
Tracey Davies, Money20/20’s managing director kicked the conference off this morning, underlining that in addition to being a fantastic networking opportunity and massive platform for industry thought leadership, Money20/20 events are also very fun in spirit—pointing to this year’s conference Comic-Con-inspired branding.
Money20/20 Europe is continuing to grow along with the industry.
“We’ve got the most incredible line up over the next three days,” said Davies. “We have over 400 speakers, seven stages; we’ve got our new arena stage in the Lower Expo Hall.””
And in spite of the number of stages and space for the events, anticipated growth of Money20/20 Europe has necessitated next year’s migration to the Netherlands, where the 2018 edition of the event will be held in Amsterdam. Indeed, the conference’s future is already manifesting aesthetically this week in Copenhagen, Davies pointing out, “We have a new garden this year, and in light of our move to Amsterdam, we’ve created a Dutch theme.”
Davies quickly went on to introduce the opening keynote speakers, including Jack Dorsey, CEO and founder of Square, and Ashok Vaswani, CEO of Barclays UK, both of whom helped paint a picture of the critical moment in finance and connectivity during which this week’s event is taking place.
As can be expected, biometrics and mobile ID are set to take a major portion of the spotlight in Copenhagen this week, with Dorsey already speaking of voice enabled payments and AI-based anti-fraud measures during his moment on the stage this morning.
Major biometrics and identity management vendors are in attendance too, with executives from BioConnect, FacePhi, and the recently minted OT-Morpho scheduled to participate in Wednesday’s FindBiometrics panel, The power of choice: Why multimodal biometrics are taking over FinTech. Stay posted to FindBiometrics and Mobile ID World over the coming week as we bring you from-the-conference coverage of Money20/20 Europe.
