“Now, through the partnership with CNL, Herta’s technology is being used ‘to protect some of the world’s most valuable exhibits in a state of the art security facility within an iconic museum in the middle east…'”
Herta‘s biometric facial recognition technology has been embraced by CNL Software, a provider of physical security information management software. The latter has integrated Herta’s technology into its IPSecurityCenter platform, and the companies say their collaboration has already delivered a high-profile deployment.
The announcement comes soon after the news that Herta had won an award for “Best Latin American Security Project” at the Latin American Security Association’s ALAS Management Summit in July. The plaudit was in recognition of Herta’s deployment of a facial recognition-based access control system at a Uruguayan sports stadium, part of an effort to prohibit entry to known soccer hooligans.
Now, through the partnership with CNL, Herta’s technology is being used “to protect some of the world’s most valuable exhibits in a state of the art security facility within an iconic museum in the middle east,” the companies said in a statement.
Commenting on the partnership more broadly, CNL Software’s head of marketing, Adlan Hussain, suggested that it’s aimed at meeting growing demand for technologically sophisticated security. “By expanding IPSecurityCenter to support Herta face detection software, we are enabling our customers to seamlessly address the growing need to quickly identify and differentiate between authorized and unauthorized individuals,” he said, adding later, “As security departments strive to benefit from advances in technology, we are focused on helping them by removing the barriers created by silos of information within the control room.”
