CLEAR Reaches 43.5 Million Members as Q2 Revenue Rises 27 Percent

August 5, 2026

CLEAR reported second-quarter revenue of $277.8 million, up 26.6 percent from a year earlier, as the identity company continued to add members and expand its biometric airport services.

Total bookings rose 32.8 percent to $295.9 million. Operating income reached $83 million, while net income was $72.3 million. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were $101.1 million, representing a 36.4 percent margin. Operating cash flow was $201.2 million and free cash flow reached $189 million.

The company had 43.5 million total members at the end of June, a 30 percent year-over-year increase. Active CLEAR+ membership reached 8.3 million, up 15.2 percent. Those figures extend the growth reported in the first quarter, when CLEAR passed 41 million members.

CLEAR+ was available at 62 airports after launches at Northwest Arkansas National Airport and Indianapolis International Airport. The company also operated 280 TSA PreCheck enrollment locations and offered its Concierge service at 39 airports.

Expansion of CLEAR’s eGate program continued during the quarter. The biometric gates were operating at 50 airports as of August 5, up from 43 in early May. CLEAR expects the network-wide rollout to be completed during 2026. The gates use facial recognition to confirm a member’s identity before the traveler proceeds to the physical ID inspection or security screening process.

The results reflect a broader effort to extend CLEAR beyond airport lanes. The company has been building CLEAR1 as an identity platform for other customer journeys, including a recent integration with Amazon Connect that allows contact centers to verify callers through device-based checks and identity data.

CLEAR raised its full-year free-cash-flow guidance from $465 million to at least $480 million. For the third quarter, it expects revenue of between $284 million and $287 million. The company said its board authorized a quarterly dividend of 15 cents per share, payable in September.

The membership, airport and financial figures indicate that CLEAR’s core travel business remains the main engine behind its push into reusable identity services. Continued eGate deployment gives the company more points at which its biometric membership can be used across the airport journey.
