Biometric screening has come to Detroit’s Comerica Park ballpark, care of CLEAR.
The system is available through Gate A of the park, allowing CLEAR registrants to breeze through security by scanning their fingers at the entrance. Each CLEAR member can also take one ticket-holding adult companion, or any number of accompanying children, through the express gate.
CLEAR says it is also in talks to bring the system to other Detroit sports venues including Little Caesars Arena and Ford Field. And as the Detroit Free Press reports, CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker says the company is working to extend its biometric technology “beyond security to other uses inside the venue that will continue to transform the game day experience.”
While CLEAR has lately been busier deploying its biometric screening technology at airports in collaboration with the TSA and Delta Air Lines, this isn’t the company’s first sports venue deployment; it has also seen deployments in Denver, Miami, San Francisco, and New York.
