CLEAR has brought its biometric screening system to three additional baseball stadiums: SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves; the Seattle Mariners’ Safeco Field; and Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, home of the Oakland Athletics.
The deployments mean that these stadiums now feature dedicated CLEAR lanes for fans. Those who have registered with the CLEAR program can gain expedited entry to the stadiums with a fingerprint or eye scan, just as they can speed their way through the airports supporting CEAR screening.
These stadium deployments represent the latest successes in CLEAR’s effort to expand its biometric screening system to more sports venues as the company grows beyond its previous focus on the air travel sector. Other sports venues supporting CLEAR screening include Detroit’s Comerica Park, Denver’s Coors Field, Miami’s Marlins Park and American Airlines Arena, Yankee Stadium and Citi Field in New York, and San Francisco’s AT&T Park.
In a statement announcing the trio of new stadium deployments, CLEAR said it is also working on “new biometric-powered stadium experiences, including ticketing and concessions, enabling fans at participating venues to enjoy a frictionless, personalized game day experience from security to their seat.” Those efforts could in turn spur further interest in registration among sports fans, who can then enjoy the benefits of CLEAR at any other venues or airports where it’s supported.
