CLEAR has launched Concierge Powered by CLEAR at Miami International Airport, an airport-wide assistance service that builds on the biometric eGate deployment the company put in place at MIA earlier this year. The concierge offering provides curb-to-gate help, including baggage support and terminal guidance, and is available to all travelers rather than only CLEAR members.
The service sits on top of the biometric identity layer CLEAR has been expanding at the airport. In January, CLEAR deployed biometric eGates at MIA, where CLEAR+ members verify their identity in under five seconds, matching a live facial image before proceeding to physical screening without a traditional document check. The concierge launch extends CLEAR’s presence at the airport from that identity-verification checkpoint into a broader passenger-assistance role staffed by CLEAR Ambassadors.
“Airports are the first and last impression of a city. We’re proud to support Miami International Airport with a faster, more seamless travel experience from home to gate that emphasizes hospitality and trust,” said Kyle McLaughlin, Executive Vice President of Aviation at CLEAR. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said the expanded offering arrives as the community prepares to welcome millions of visitors for this summer’s World Cup matches. The concierge service is priced at 99 dollars for departures and 199 dollars for arrivals, and does not require a CLEAR+ membership.
The MIA expansion reflects how CLEAR is layering services on its biometric platform. The company’s eGate network has expanded across dozens of US airports as its membership base has grown, and it has been deploying faster face-scanning hardware through its EnVe pods. The biometric verification step is what anchors CLEAR’s airport presence; the concierge service is a non-biometric offering built around that established identity checkpoint.
For Miami, the combination of biometric eGates and concierge assistance is being positioned around the surge in international travel expected for the World Cup, when passenger volumes at the airport are set to rise sharply. CLEAR operates the identity-verification eGates in partnership with the airport and federal screening authorities, and the concierge service runs across the terminal environment.
