“End users will scan their government-issued IDs, and Acuant’s technology will immediately verify their age, allowing the system to issue their player cards.”
Acuant‘s identity verification technology has been adopted by MGT Micro Gaming Technologies, a provider of player tracking software to casinos.
MGT will use Acuant’s AssureID and AcuFill software for casino guest registration. End users will scan their government-issued IDs, and Acuant’s technology will immediately verify their age, allowing the system to issue their player cards. The technology can also be used to automatically check players against watchlists.
In a statement announcing the integration, MGT CEO Mark Bryant explained that it “will help streamline the onboarding process for casino loyalty programs, which will benefit both players and casino owners” by establishing “a more efficient and cost effective loyalty enrollment process” for players. As Acuant CEO Yossi Zekri summed it up, “Players will have a superior gaming experience without casinos forgoing security.”
News of the integration comes after Acuant’s announcement last summer that it had upgraded AssureID and its FRM biometric document verification systems.
