Innovaccer Partners With Carematix to Enable Remote Patient Monitoring

Innovaccer is enhancing its Innovaccer Health Cloud through a new partnership with Carematix.  Carematix specializes in the creation of healthcare IoT devices, and will be supplying technology that improves Innovaccer’s Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) capabilities.

The integration will allow doctors to view data gathered with Carematix devices in the Health Cloud platform. That data can then be consolidated and analyzed to make predictions about a patient’s future health. Doctors can respond more quickly to an adverse event, and apply predictive models to highlight potential health concerns.

Thanks to those predictive models, patients have the opportunity to take proactive steps to improve their health. As a result, the Health Cloud can help prevent trips to the emergency room, and reduce 30-day readmission rates following a visit.

Carematix’s solutions can track a number of different vital signs to provide doctors with actionable insights while the patient is at home. Innovaccer will use the information to streamline clinical workflows and lower overall costs for care providers.

“Over the years, we have learned to work with patients at home collecting biometrics and other patients-reported outcomes while focusing on the ease of use and patient compliance,” said Carematix CEO Sukhwant Khanuja. “When combined with Innovaccer’s data aggregation and analytics platform, caregivers can coordinate care at a completely different level. The news speaks to the growing interest in remote patient monitoring solutions. BioIntelliSense has provided biometric wearables for VeeMed and Aloe Care monitoring systems, while Carium has delivered patient monitors for Perfect Care. Reliq, meanwhile, recently added speech recognition to its own iUGO Care monitoring platform.
