CARCO to Use Fingerprint Biometrics in Employee Pre-Screening

CARCO, a risk mitigation company specializing in employee pre-screening, is going to implement fingerprint scanning in its management solutions line. The technology will be provided via a partnership with Accurate Biometrics.

The aim is to find a minimally intrusive yet effective means by which to identify the individuals applying for employment with CARCO’s clients. Speaking in a press release, CARCO SVP Beth Sinkus said that Accurate Biometrics’ technology would do just that while providing “extremely reliable prints”, and will “maximize the efficiency of the process” of pre-screening employment candidates.

Accurate Biometrics has a long history in this sort of work, having provided fingerprint identification services in background check applications since the year 2000. More recently, the company has been notable for winning the Illinois Master Fingerprinting Contract, making the company the state government’s go-to contractor for fingerprint biometrics services like those used to screen firearms instructors. Given the rigor with which government agencies tend to select private sector partners, CARCO and its clients can feel some measure of assurance in its choice of fingerprint technology provider.
