“The International Joint Conference on Biometrics is a combination of two annual conferences, the International Conference on Biometrics, and the Biometrics Theory, Application and Systems conference.”
Organizers are starting to get ready for the 2020 International Joint Conference on Biometrics, “or IJCB 2020”, and have issued a call for proposals from prospective hosts.
The call has been put out by the IAPR Technical Committee on Biometrics, or “TC-4”, and the IEEE Biometrics Council, or “IEEE-BC”, with the key condition at the outset being that IJCB 2020 will need to take place in the United States. Prospective hosts will need to send proposals outlining technical committees, venues, accommodations, budget estimates, and other administrative matters.
The International Joint Conference on Biometrics is a combination of two annual conferences, the International Conference on Biometrics, and the Biometrics Theory, Application and Systems conference. Previous events were held in 2011, 2014, and 2017, “and proved to be a success as evidenced by the number of paper submissions and delegates in attendance,” the organizers said in their announcement.
Proposals for IJCB 2020 are due by January 15th, 2019, with evaluation of the proposals to conclude by February 15th. Contact information is available from the IEEE Biometrics Council website.
