“The tablet is targeted at the logistics, banking, healthcare, voter registration, and heavy industry markets…”
Suprema fingerprint biometrics technology has found its way into a new rugged tablet from BioRugged. The BioWolf LE features Suprema’s SFU-S20, a FAP20 and FBI PIV certified USB fingerprint module featuring IP65-rated water resistance.
The biometric technology could prove important in a range of applications via the BioWolf LE. The tablet is targeted at the logistics, banking, healthcare, voter registration, and heavy industry markets, and Suprema says it has already been contracted for a “number of public and commercial projects”, including one revolving around SIM card registration in certain African countries.
Accordingly, Suprema plans to showcase its biometric technologies at the upcoming ID4 Africa 2017 conference, which will take place in Namibia from April 26 to 28. With this new integration of its fingerprint module, and the company’s claim to the fastest matching speeds available with respect to its BioSign fingerprint biometrics platform, it should attract some interest among attendees of the event.
