On Monday at Money20/20 in Las Vegas, the fire marshals had to close the doors on the biometrics and FinTech panel, “Biometrics Innovation & the New Password,” after the room was filled to capacity. The last audience members allowed into the presentation room stood to watch the top minds in identity, security, and financial services discuss the role of biometrics in commerce.

A full house! Over 1000 attendees came to see our expert panel discuss biometrics and moving beyond passwords in FinTech. The room was at capacity. — The view from the stage at Money20/20’s sold out biometrics panel. The conference had over 1000 CEOs in attendance, counted among its approximately 12,000 guests.

Moderated by Peter O’Neill, President and Founder of FindBiometrics and Mobile ID World, the panel consisted of Conor White, President, Americas, Daon; Ajay Bhalla, President, Enterprise Security, Mastercard; Phillip Dunkelberger, President and CEO, Nok Nok Labs; Vincent Bouatou, VP Business Development Biometric Technologies, Morpho, Safran Identity & Security; and Secil Watson, EVP, Head of Wholesale Internet Solutions, Wells Fargo. The experts tackled the big questions concerning biometrics in FinTech, regarding multimodality, public perception, interoperability and more.

Mastercard, Visa, Fingerprint Cards, the FIDO Alliance, and more, all made identity industry-shaking headlines this week in Las Vegas, while the exhibition floor was a veritable who’s-who of biometrics vendors and service providers.
