“The tremendous reception for FindBiometrics and Mobile ID World’s third annual biometrics panel at the world’s hottest FinTech show cements our position at the center of the financial biometrics and identity communities,” – Peter O’Neill, President, FindBiometrics and Mobile ID World
On Monday at Money20/20 in Las Vegas, the fire marshals had to close the doors on the biometrics and FinTech panel, “Biometrics Innovation & the New Password,” after the room was filled to capacity. The last audience members allowed into the presentation room stood to watch the top minds in identity, security, and financial services discuss the role of biometrics in commerce.
Moderated by Peter O’Neill, President and Founder of FindBiometrics and Mobile ID World, the panel consisted of Conor White, President, Americas, Daon; Ajay Bhalla, President, Enterprise Security, Mastercard; Phillip Dunkelberger, President and CEO, Nok Nok Labs; Vincent Bouatou, VP Business Development Biometric Technologies, Morpho, Safran Identity & Security; and Secil Watson, EVP, Head of Wholesale Internet Solutions, Wells Fargo. The experts tackled the big questions concerning biometrics in FinTech, regarding multimodality, public perception, interoperability and more.
“The tremendous reception for FindBiometrics and Mobile ID World’s third annual biometrics panel at the world’s hottest FinTech show cements our position at the center of the financial biometrics and identity communities,” said Peter O’Neill. “What we are seeing here in Vegas is just incredible. There has been so much interest in all of the real world biometrics deployments and market success. Not only on the keynote stages, but also on the exhibition floor.”
Approximately 12,000 attendees had Money20/20 buzzing with activity, and biometrics were prominently featured. As we explored in part one of ‘Biometrics and Identity at Money20/20’, the conference has grown over the past three years from a place where speakers and attendees theorize about the uses of biometrics, to a venue for the industry’s biggest announcements and showcases. Mastercard, Visa, Fingerprint Cards, the FIDO Alliance, and more, all made identity industry-shaking headlines this week in Las Vegas, while the exhibition floor was a veritable who’s-who of biometrics vendors and service providers.
