Veridium has officially become a Select Technology Partner with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network. The arrangement will make Veridium’s multimodal authentication platform more readily available to businesses through the AWS Marketplace.
The AWS Marketplace provides financial institutions and other enterprises with a curated shortlist of security solutions. Veridium, meanwhile, is the developer of a multimodal software platform that can be easily integrated into a company’s existing infrastructure. The mobile-first solution can cover on-premises or cloud-based applications, offering secure biometric authentication for employees, customers, and individual transactions.
Veridium supports fingerprint, face, and behavioral biometrics, introducing the latter with the launch of InMotion earlier this year. The software was designed to be simple and scalable to reduce the cost and time needed to deploy a comprehensive security platform.
“The computing power of the cloud environment is vast, with the unique ability to expand and detract based on demand, meaning customers only pay for what they use,” said Veridium Chief Product Officer John Spencer. “The AWS Marketplace greatly simplifies the process for businesses wishing to integrate Veridium’s authentication platform.
Spencer went on to explain that companies interested in Veridium’s tech do not need any in-house technical expertise in order to take advantage of the platform.
The news comes nearly a year after Veridium released a Biometric Consumer Sentiment Survey that found that an overwhelming majority of the population (a full 70 percent) would like to see biometric authentication become more common in the workplace. The company would seem to be well positioned to fulfill that demand thanks to its newfound status as an official AWS Technology Partner.
To that end, Veridium was also one of the companies chosen for Mastercard’s 2019 Start Path cohort. The accelerator was set up to help innovative startups reach enterprise scale more quickly, and grants them access to Mastercard’s extensive network of customers and partners.
