Suprema ID is looking to solidify its presence in the African market after hiring Paul Kennedy as its new Sales Representative for the region. Kennedy brings more than 30 years of experience to the position, in which he will be expected to find new customers for the company’s fingerprint and identity document solutions.
“My role is to identify and develop new business opportunities, develop and strengthen relationships with partners, and provide support from within the region,” said Kennedy. “I will be working closely with the Suprema ID team to increase our footprint and revenues.”
Kennedy arrives after previous stops at Face Technologies, Oberthur Technologies, and Laxton Technologies. At each stop, he focused primarily on the African market, and dealt with everything from finance and elections to e-passports and national IDs. He will operate out of Suprema ID’s strategic office in Johannesburg, South Africa.
With the hiring, Suprema is hoping to capitalize on the growing demand for identity solutions in the African market. It is also part of a broader international expansion effort. The company recently appointed Baudoin Genouville as the new Managing Director for Suprema Systems to extend its reach in Europe and North Africa.
Suprema’s new BioMini Slim 3 fingerprint scanner received FAP30 certification from the FBI back in September.
