Biometrics News – Facial Recognition
Ipsidy is bringing its portfolio of mobile biometric identity solutions to the latest iOS and Android devices. The company has announced that its applications now support both Android and iOS 13, with NFC capabilities to streamline data collection and authentication.
Ipsidy’s product line currently includes its flagship Proof identity solution, as well as the Time, Access, and Concierge applications. Collectively, the portfolio provides enterprises with a range of biometric services, including access control, attendance management, document verification, and face-based identity verification.
To that end, Proof uses facial recognition to match a selfie against the photo on an official ID to provide secure authentication for numerous transactions and interactions. The company’s FaceLok SDK has also been integrated into Time, Concierge, and the Ipsidy Mobile app.
“Our identity platform allows us to offer a suite of services that our customers can use to create the foundation of trust for multiple use cases,” said Ipsidy Chairman and CEO Philip Beck.
The improved mobile utility should help drive Ipsidy’s expansion efforts moving forward. The company has been focused on the Latin American market in recent months, forming distribution partnerships with Colombia’s AS•NET and Mobile Solutions Peru. The latter has since led to an agreement between Ipsidy and Peru’s RENIEC National ID Registry.
