ImageWare Systems is making a few changes in the executive suite. The biometric authentication specialist has announced that Kristin A. Taylor will be stepping up as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer.
Taylor will be expected to boost revenue and expand ImageWare’s product portfolio in her capacity as CEO. She will also be asked to oversee the company’s day-to-day activities. She arrives with more than twenty years of experience in the industry, including a 12-year stint at Qualcomm and leadership roles at MediaTek and IBM, where she was the Vice President of Worldwide Analyst Relations.
Taylor will inherit her position from current ImageWare CEO Jim Miller, who will be transitioning to a role as the Executive Chairman of the Board. Both appointments will go into effect on March 2, 2020.
“Kristin’s demonstrated results, creative vision, [and] significant relationships with the global analyst community, are essential to our plans for worldwide recognition as a technology leader in identity management,” said Miller. “The Board and I are confident in our choice of Kristin to lead ImageWare forward and become the company we know it can be.”
“I’m excited to be joining a pioneer in the field of identity management,” added Taylor. “ImageWare has incredible intellectual property, exceptional people and great potential.”
ImageWare is hoping that Taylor will help the company maintain its upward trajectory seen in recent months. The company achieved SOC-2 compliance back in December, and has since provided biometric software for Laxton’s Chameleon devices and finalized a series of deals worth an estimated $1.2 million.
