IDEMIA will be showcasing a variety of biometric security solutions at this week’s Milipol Paris event, which runs from November 19 to 22. The technology on display is primarily designed for law enforcement and government organizations.
IDEMIA’s offerings have been slotted into three separate categories based on the intended purpose of each solution. Some of the products are built to secure large venues and major events, while the others are geared towards border and/or community security.
The first two categories include video analytics and surveillance tech that can identify and track suspicious individuals in large spaces, as well as IDEMIA’s multimodal Traveler Analytics Suite. The community category includes a mobile app that allows police officers to use their mobile phones to identify suspects in the field with a fingerprint or facial recognition scan.
“Biometric technologies are a key contributor to resolving today’s security challenges and improving the way we want to live in our cities safely,” said IDEMIA Public Security Executive VP Philippe Barreau. “It provides the high accuracy needed by public authorities and the level of convenience required by citizens living in a digital world.”
IDEMIA recently teamed with INTERPOL to give border agents a crash course in document security. The company’s wares will be on display at Booth #D168 in Hall 5 at Milipol Paris.
