The Gamesys Group will be integrating Yoti’s Doc Scan solution into its various online bingo and online casino operations. Doc Scan uses face and document recognition to verify people’s identities after matching a selfie to the image on an official government ID.
The Doc Scan solution is compatible with more than 1,000 different documents from upwards of 200 countries. It is compatible with the latest Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, and will ensure that all Gamesys games are compliant with the standards put in place by the Gambling Commission.
To that end, Doc Scan will guard against fraud and deliver discreet age verification that respects the privacy of individual players.
“We’re delighted to be working with Gamesys to make the gaming experience better for players,” said Yoti Chief Business Officer John Abbott. “Gamesys share our commitment to building trust between businesses and consumers – and together we provide a simple, private and secure way for people to prove their identity for Gamesys powered games.”
“This partnership demonstrates our determination to understand and care for our customers and to provide them with the most enjoyable experience within a secure environment,” added Gamesys Marketing Director Simon Mizzi.
Yoti Doc Scan is an integral component of a blockchain digital identity solution that was developed in collaboration with LedgerState. The solution is geared towards governments and developing countries, and was presented at the UN Assembly in New York during last year’s Concordia Summit.
In the meantime, Yoti has continued to provide secure age and identity verification services for a wide variety of customers. The company has teamed up with the Native student ticketing app to clamp down on ticket resellers during Sigma’s ongoing tour of the UK, and its tech is now being used to verify the ID of every student nanny on the Student Nannies platform. Synectics Solutions is also using Doc Scan to help financial services providers onboard new customers.
