BioConnect has announced that its Unified Mobile Access solution is now compatible with technology from a slew of leading access control manufacturers. The solution can now be deployed alongside access management systems from AMAG, Genetec, Paxton, Kantech and Honeywell (Win-Pak and Pro-Watch), amongst several others.
The Unified Mobile Access platform is built primarily for physical access control for those looking to gain entrance to a building. However, it can just as easily be utilized to protect other sensitive areas of a facility, including vaults and data centers.
To do so, the platform lets security administrators sync their existing hardware – including cards, readers, and other credentials – with a mobile app to introduce two-factor authentication at all points of entry. Administrators can take advantage of a third party app like Duo Security, or the BioConnect app that provides biometric authentication and identity verification.
The various partnerships ensure that BioConnect’s app can essentially be installed right out of the box.
“An enterprise can be up and running with the entire solution installed and users provisioned in under 30-minutes,” said BioConnect CTO Courtney Gibson.
The other providers that now offer support for Unified Mobile Access are Open Options, Lenel S2, Software House, Brivo, Pacom, PCSC, Maxxess, and Dormakaba.
BioConnect teased an enhanced version of its Access Control platform back in March, and later launched a Partner Program that provides companies with a curated list of security solutions. The Canadian company is currently looking to expand with $3.9 million in federal funding.
