Biometrics News – Fingerprint Recognition
The biometric authentication specialist BIO-key International has announced that it will be displaying its wares as an exhibiting partner at the upcoming Microsoft Ignite technology conference. The event will run from November 4-8 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, where guests will be able to find BIO-key at booth #2402.
“Ignite is one of the premier technology and cybersecurity events for IT leaders around the world,” said Mike DePasquale, Chairman and CEO, BIO-key. “Our products have been designed to support the passwordless user experience that only biometric technology can deliver.”
BIO-key’s portfolio includes a range of hardware and software solutions built specifically for Windows computers, including its Microsoft-approved Windows Hello line of USB fingerprint readers. At Ignite, the readers will be showcased alongside the ID Director for Windows software platform, which enables biometric authentication at multiple workstations without the need for a dedicated hardware token for each individual user.
The ID Director platform is also compatible with the SAML 2.0 framework, a utility that will similarly be featured at Microsoft Ignite.
BIO-key has recently been focused on the government sector, especially in the wake of an FBI report that advises organizations to adopt biometric security. The company is now providing USB fingerprint readers for federal employees on Capitol Hill.
