“We have many customers in common which benefit from the frictionless, deep and continual authentication the BehavioSec solution provides.” – Neil Costigan, CEO, BehavioSec
Another leading provider of biometric authentication technology has joined the NICE Actimize X-Sight Marketplace: behavioral biometrics specialist BehavioSec.
Launched this past July, the X-Sight Marketplace is a curated FinTech security solutions platform. In developing its platform, NICE Actimize has leaned toward cutting-edge technologies such as biometrics, with Jumio – a specialist in selfie-driven authentication based on facial recognition – having joined the platform just a couple of weeks ago.
Now, with its technology designed to assess patterns in end user behavior to detect fraud, BehavioSec is helping to further burnish the X-Sight Marketplace’s technological portfolio.
In announcing BehavioSec’s arrival to the platform, both companies emphasized their overlapping efforts. “We are excited that BehavioSec, which shares our common goal of fighting financial crime and fraud through the benefits of a marketplace ecosytem, is partnering with us and joining the X-Sight Marketplace community,” explained NICE Actimize CEO Craig Costigan; while BehavioSec CEO Neil Costigan noted, “We have many customers in common which benefit from the frictionless, deep and continual authentication the BehavioSec solution provides.”
“By joining the NICE Actimize marketplace, BehavioSec can offer customers an authentication solution which integrates with their existing operations/analytic tools and enables a frictionless mobile/web-based application experience,” the BehavioSec CEO added later.
BehavioSec’s addition to the X-Sight Marketplace comes at a time of growing concern over digital fraud among financial services providers; and with NICE Actimize promising that more partners will be announced in the future, its platform may prove increasingly appealing to the sector.

Behavioral biometrics are a relatively new modality in the biometrics landscape, with clear applications in enterprise security, online banking, and mobile commerce. Generally, a behavioral biometrics system matches a user’s behavior against a profile built from hundreds of physiological, cognitive, and contextual traits. The result is two-fold: a user can be passively and continuously authenticated simply by behaving normally online; and service providers implementing behavioral systems can detect malware and other cyber-threats designed to mimic human behavior.
