Healthcare technology company BioIQ has been awarded an IT Schedule 70 contract from the US General Services Administration, the company has announced. It’s a Multiple Award Schedule that will enable multiple US government agencies to access the company’s technology.
That means various government agencies could soon be taking advantage of SoftSuite, BioIQ’s flagship healthcare platform. It’s a versatile, adaptable platform that tracks health biometrics and leverages that data for large-scale population wellness programs. Moreover, the company says it can be tailored to clients’ existing IT infrastructure, and it also features tablet functionality.
In a statement announcing the contract award, BioIQ CEO Justin Bellante asserted that “SoftSuite will assist in creating better federal wellness programs and healthier populations by connecting with patients, conducting vaccination and biometric screening programs, and managing wellness data,” adding that the contract award also “furthers BioIQ’s mission of advancing the nation’s health and closing population gaps in care.”
It could be the beginning of a much larger trend that will see government organizations increasingly adopt digital and biometric healthcare solutions to manage the health of their workers. After all, the private sector healthcare biometrics market is expected to undergo huge growth, and its cost-effective solutions could soon prove just as appealing in the government sector going forward.
