BioConnect has announced an update for its flagship biometric identity platform.
In a statement, the company explained that while previous updates to its eponymous system have revolved around enabling integrations with other companies’ access control platforms, version 3.6 “focuses on improved performance and reliability to enhance the overall user experience.” The platform now employs more system diagnostic checks, and BioConnect has established a web app for service management, which lets users check real-time event logs and connections within the system, and to back up databases.
BioConnect v3.6 also now features a PIN option for authentication, allowing three-factor authentication by combining it with fingerprint scanning and card reading. Other enhancements include improved connectivity with BioStation 2 terminals and improved offline access capabilities.
BioConnect is showcasing its system alongside technology partner Suprema at this week’s ISC West conference in Las Vegas.
