BioConnect is integrating FacePhi‘s facial biometrics technology into its eponymous multimodal authentication platform, the companies have announced.
Their partnership will see BioConnect offer users FacePhi’s Selphi system, a mobile and desktop facial recognition solution that has been leveraged by numerous client organizations. Selphi recently attained FIDO UAF certification, a key qualifier for its BioConnect compatibility.
In a statement announcing the integration, the companies emphasized BioConnect’s high standards in selecting its platform partners, with BioConnect CEO Rob Douglas asserting, “We have been impressed with FacePhi’s live face detection as well as its accuracy, reliability and interoperability and we’re excited for the opportunities that we can tackle together as part of BioConnect ID.”
FacePhi CEO Javier Mira also commented, saying, “This is an opportunity for both companies to expand the use of biometrics and enhance the security measures to authenticate without a password.”
