BioEntry W2 is capable of reading smart cards, supporting a range of RFID standards including HID iCLASS, MIFARE, and NFC.
BioConnect is making a strong case for Suprema’s BioEntry W2 fingerprint-based access control solution.
First announced in early June, BioEntry W2 can store the identity data of up to half a million users, and it can match 150,000 profiles per second. It’s also capable of reading smart cards, supporting a range of RFID standards including HID iCLASS, MIFARE, and NFC.
The solution was showcased at IFSEC 2016, and is now getting a further push from Suprema’s long-time software partner, BioConnect. In a post on its blog, the company asserts that with its “rugged IP67/IK08 housing with sleek metallic finish, it is a perfect access control solution for tough environments and outdoor installations.” The company also highlights its liveness detection capability, which uses both infrared and white light imaging to thwart potential spoofing attempts using clay, rubber, and other materials.
BioConnect will host a webinar for its customers outlining the benefits of BioEntry W2 on August 4th.
