Suprema has announced the integration of Axis Communications’ AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller into the BioConnect 3.0 platform from EnterTech Systems, Suprema’s operating partner in Canada, Ireland, the United States and the United Kingdom.
It’s essentially an infusion of Suprema’s biometric technology into AXIS’ access control system. The AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller is a non-proprietary, open platform for access control deployments ranging from small-scale installations to the enterprise level. Now, with the BioConnect integration, users can easily access biometric templates through the two systems’ seamless syncing of data and the intuitive user interface offered by EnterTech’s platform.
Speaking in a press release, AXIS access control business manager Bruce Stewart explained, “Suprema’s advanced biometric technologies integrated with our A1001 network door controller will provide our customers with an integrated system that includes truly easy to use and manage biometrics.”
EnterTech Systems’ BioConnect 3.0 platform recently saw its debut in the UK, North America, and Puerto Rico, so AXIS, as a security solutions and network video company operating on a global scale, could prove to be a great ally in promoting the system in several of these new markets. Not that it’s going to need a ton of help; previous iterations of the system have already proven popular with major partners such as Honeywell, and Suprema continues to advance as a trusted brand in biometric security around the world.
