BioCatch has a new Chief Revenue Officer; Bill Sytsma will lead the company’s sales and professional services team, and will oversee “an ambitious plan for growth,” according to a statement announcing his appointment.
Sytsma comes to the company from ThreatMetrix, another provider of an enterprise-focused digital security platform, where he served as the company’s Americas VP for six and a half years. Before that he was the Head of Global Sales for Emulex’s Software Group for a year and a half, with previous sales positions at iPass and Aveksa.
Commenting on Sytsma’s appointment, BioCatch CEO Howard Edelstein explained that it’s part of a larger program to accelerate the company’s growth, asserting that Sytsma “is the ideal person to lead the effort.”
“He has vast experience as well as a proven ability to scale global sales efforts, secure new client relationships and drive revenue, exactly what is needed to enhance the results generated by our seasoned and talented team to date,” Edelstein said.
Sytsma joins the company at an exciting time. The behavioral biometrics specialist claims among its clients four of the UK’s top banks, two major Brazilian banks, and one of the top three US banks; and its platform recently went live on the ForgeRock Marketplace curated security solutions portfolio. For his part, Sytsma said he is “very excited” about joining the company. “With a great team of people, its patented AI-driven technology, and superb data scientists, BioCatch is extremely well-positioned to help define next generation digital identity and continue its strong growth.”
