BioCatch Caps 2025 With Record Quarter, Citing Rising Pressure From AI-Driven Fraud and Scams

Behavioral Biometrics Startup Sardine Partners with Experian

BioCatch says it closed 2025 with its strongest quarter to date, reporting more than $20 million in new annual recurring revenue in Q4 and ending the year above $185 million in ARR. The behavioral biometrics firm, which focuses on fraud and financial crime prevention for digital banking channels, said it added 90 new customers in 2025, including Wells Fargo, and that three of the four largest U.S. banks by assets now use its technology.

“BioCatch’s growth is proof that trust is becoming the defining currency of modern banking,” said BioCatch CEO Gadi Mazor. “Financial institutions today navigate expanding and evolving regulatory pressure, the proliferation and growing sophistication of AI-powered fraud, rising consumer expectations for seamless digital experiences, and the scaling of attacks at the hands of organized crime.”

BioCatch attributed a major share of its momentum to channel and mid-market growth. The company said its mid-market partner business expanded ARR by 60 percent in 2025, onboarding more than 70 new community banks and credit unions through the Alkami platform. BioCatch has worked with Alkami before to expand distribution of its behavioral biometrics capabilities through digital banking ecosystems, including its earlier participation in Alkami’s partner program.

The company also pointed to new and expanded alliances with vendors serving identity risk, core banking, and financial crime teams. BioCatch highlighted a strategic partnership with Alloy, along with new partnerships with Tyfone and Nasdaq Verafin, and said it expects further mid-market expansion in 2026.

BioCatch’s update also emphasized product and network milestones from 2025, including enhancements to its fraud and financial crime platform. The company cited its upgrade to BioCatch Connect 2.0 through the Align SDK and the launch of BioCatch Link, which it positions as a way to strengthen detection of coordinated fraud activity and money mule networks.

On the collaboration front, BioCatch said it launched BioCatch Trust Argentina as the western hemisphere’s first inter-bank, behavior- and device-based, real-time intelligence-sharing network. The Argentina initiative builds on the company’s earlier rollout of a behavioral fraud detection network with major Australian banks through BioCatch Trust, which has since become part of the broader mix of scam and fraud defenses being adopted by Australian institutions.

Geo-wise, BioCatch reported ARR growth of 40 percent in Asia Pacific during 2025, along with increases of more than 50 percent in Mexico and 89 percent in Spain. It said nearly half of its ARR for the year came from new customers and that its technology now processes more than 17 billion monthly user sessions across more than 1.6 billion unique devices.
