BIO-key will issue its results for the third quarter on Thursday, November 12, the company has announced.
The company’s corporate highlights for the quarter are likely to be dominated by its success in sales of its PortalGuard Single Sign-On solution. BIO-key acquired the PortalGuard platform in Q2 through its purchase of PistolStar in a $2.5 million deal. Since then, the company has reported a steady stream of deployments, many of which were with American higher education institutions.
The quarter also brought news pertaining to the biometric authentication technology on which BIO-key made its name. In late August, BIO-key revealed that its longtime client ICU Medical was expanding its use of fingerprint scanning technology to enable identity verification for new employees during the training process.
Also likely to come up in BIO-key’s Q3 update is the company’s appointment of Kimberly Johnson as its VP of Product Marketing in August. This was a newly-created position, designed to accelerate the promotion of BIO-key solutions including PortalGuard – and Johnson happens to have been PistolStar’s Marketing Manager from 2009 to 2013.
BIO-key says it will report its results for the third quarter prior to market open on November 12, and that it will also host a conference call that same day at 10:00 a.m. ET. The call will feature BIO-key CEO Mike DePasquale, CFO Cecilia Welch, and Chief Revenue Officer Fred Corsentino.
The call will be broadcast live online, and a replay will be available for three months.
