BIO-key has partnered with Appsian in an effort to strengthen its PortalGuard identity and access management solution. Appsian is an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) specialist, and its technology is expected to make PortalGuard more appealing to organizations that are looking to enhance the security of their existing ERP systems.
The partnership will support both on-premises and cloud-based Identity-as-a-Service PortalGuard deployments. The platform supports biometric identity verification, and was designed to be flexible, scalable, and user-friendly.
“Managing identity for legacy ERP applications like Oracle PeopleSoft can be challenging, especially when access is required beyond the firewall,” said Appsian CEO Piyush Pandey. “Our partnership with BIO-key provides those legacy ERP customers with a unique opportunity to seamlessly implement a comprehensive, modern IAM without adding any customizations to their applications or servers to their architecture.”
In other news, BIO-key announced that it will be giving a presentation at the PeopleSoft Innovation Summit on February 17. That presentation will be geared toward organizations that are looking to update their ERP access infrastructure.
BIO-key recently added new passwordless authentication features to PortalGuard to improve its utility for remote users. The company has now provided PortalGuard service for multiple clients in the government and educational sectors.
