BIO-key has set a date for the publication of its Q4 and 2018 year-end results: They will be disclosed on Monday, April 1st, after market close. The report’s publication will be followed by a conference call the next day, at 10am ET.
The company has announced at least a few major deals since its Q3 report, including contracts to provide biometric authentication technology to the Singapore Police Force and a major aerospace defense contractor, and a $10 million contract discussed by BIO-key CEO Mike DePasquale on the Uptick Newswire Stock Day Podcast in February. It isn’t clear which, if any, of these contracts would have impacted BIO-key’s Q4 performance, but the forthcoming update may touch on this or their potential effect on growth in 2019.
The update may also have some news concerning the efforts of BIO-key’s Chief Revenue Officer, Fred Corsentino. The position was established in September of last year, and in BIO-key’s third quarter update DePasquale asserted that Corsentino would “refine and refocus BIO-key’s business development, sales and marketing functions to optimize opportunities from our strong base of biometric software and hardware solutions.”
Both DePasquale and Corsentino will participate in the April 2nd conference call, along with Chief Financial Officer Cecilia Welch. The call will also be broadcast live on the web, with a replay to be available for 30 days thereafter.
