BIO-key is expanding the scope of its Channel Alliance Partner (CAP) Program in an effort to raise its international profile and secure new customers for its PortalGuard IDaaS solution. The CAP Program was first introduced in 2019, and was set up to serve as a distribution network for BIO-key’s various biometric products.
The expanded CAP Program will place a greater focus on BIO-key’s portfolio of Identity and Access Management solutions, which includes the PortalGuard Identity-as-a-Service platform. PortalGuard IDaaS is a subscription-based service that enables strong authentication across multiple applications, and BIO-key is hoping that it will generate recurring revenue over time.
BIO-key’s sales team works directly with its CAP partners to train them and make sure that those partners are familiar with BIO-key’s technology. PortalGuard is compatible with many different security systems, and can be customized to meet the needs of a client organization.
The companies in the program include Managed Service Providers, system integrators, and other resellers. Those partners will be targeting customers in industries ranging from government to finance to healthcare, and will focus on Africa and the APAC region in addition to North America. NGEN, Ingram, it1, and Sonda are some of BIO-key’s current partners.
“We’ve added BIO-key to our partner network to address the enterprise market’s demand for a trusted identity and access solution,” said it1 Partner Programs Manager Zim Jackson.
“Our goal is to grow our partner sales exponentially and become the best channel company in our markets by working with our partners to fully understand what their customers want and need,” added BIO-key CRO Fred Corsentino. “We’ll help them deliver our flexible identity and access management solutions effectively so that they stand out against their competition.”
BIO-key recently updated PortalGuard to improve its passwordless authentication capabilities. The solution has proven to be particularly popular with academic institutions in the United States, and BIO-key is obviously hoping that it will have a similar appeal on the international stage now that it is a key component of the company’s partner program.
