BIO-key has a new Chief Revenue Officer, the company has announced.
Fred Corsentino comes to the company with notable sales experience, having served as the Chief Revenue Officer of Comodo, a New Jersey-based provider of a digital security platform; and having launched a consulting firm called The Sales Leader Association. Corsentino also worked in a senior sales position with wi-fi networking firm Meru Networks from 2005 to 2007, during which time the company’s revenues grew from $1 million to $40 million, according to a statement announcing his new position with BIO-key.
In taking on the new role, Corsentino replaces former COO Barbara Rivera, to whom CEO Michale DePasquale expressed the company’s “sincere gratitude” for her contributions, adding, “we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”
For his part, in commenting on his appointment, Corsentino gestured toward the growing excitement around the kinds of biometric authentication solutions in which BIO-key specializes. “Digital and device security has never been more urgent than it is now and as organizations and consumers turn to biometric technology,” he said, adding later, “I’m excited to leverage my decades of experience in building out new business development strategies and contributing to BIO-key’s goal of achieving consistent long-term revenue growth.”
