BIO-key Becomes Latest Member of AWS Partner Network

BIO-key has joined the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network in an effort to drive sales for its cloud-based identity solutions. The news designates BIO-key as an Amazon-approved technology vendor, and will enable co-selling and co-marketing arrangements between BIO-key the AWS Sales platform.

In plain terms, that essentially means that clients that are looking to implement a new cloud security solution can move forward knowing that Amazon has already vetted BIO-key’s technology. That means that BIO-key’s products are compatible with AWS, and can therefore be used to facilitate a broader digital transformation.

BIO-key itself will have access to the AWS Accelerate Program for independent software vendors, which boosts sales for solutions that can be integrated with AWS. The program will help BIO-key connect with potential clients and raise its profile all over the world. The company noted that the demand for cloud-based access management solutions has increased as the world has migrated to a remote work environment, where Zero Trust security principles are more appropriate. Remote work has also made on-premises security management somewhat obsolete. Organizations can now outsource those responsibilities to a service provider, and no longer need to allocate resources to handle them-in house.

For its part, BIO-key will specifically be pushing its PortalGuard solution, which runs on the AWS platform. PortalGuard picked up a Fortress Cybersecurity Award earlier this month.

Imageware and Viridium are some of the other members of the AWS Partner Network. BIO-key has already delivered PortalGuard services for clients in the academic, government, and financial sectors.
