BehavioSec is touting its Behavioral Biometrics Platform solution as a way to improve security, cut costs and improve productivity in an age where more and more people are working remotely due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
“Organizations everywhere are scrambling to accommodate the sudden shift to a distributed workforce model,” said BehavioSec Vice President of Products Jordan Blake. “Not only do they need to ensure employees have access to the data needed to do their jobs effectively, wherever they are, but must also maintain seamless security in the midst of unprecedented digital disruption.”
BehavioSec’s Behavioral Biometrics Platform authenticates people’s identities based on various behavioral tendencies like their typing patterns or device pressure, providing continuous validation that is more secure and less disruptive than a one time solution like a password, token or CAPTCHA.
“BehavioSec’s technology is not only safeguarding data security, but removing obstacles to productivity necessary to meet critical tasks and deadlines,” added Blake.
The value of frictionless and continuous biometric authentication is likely to increase post-pandemic when more organizations and individuals take a more permanent approach to working remotely. A recent Gartner survey showed that 74% of Chief Financial Officers say they plan to have at least a portion of their workforce permanently transition to remote positions after the pandemic is over and restrictions in various parts of the world are lifted.
In a recent study conducted by BehavioSec and reported on their website, a multinational technology company saw an 88% reduction in two-factor authentication challenges after implementing BehavioSec, while also seeing yearly cost savings in “the mid six-figures”. The company was reportedly spending $74 per call from its staff to its internal support department to resolve issues of lost security tokens or locked-out accounts.
“By partnering with BehavioSec, we reduced our dependence on two-factor tokens while still blocking unauthorized access,” commented a spokesperson from the organization. “BehavioSec’s innovative approach allowed us to free up IT-resources, block unauthorized access and almost extinguish our need for mobile and physical tokens.”
