A new partnership with BehavioSec has brought behavioral biometrics technology to Crossmatch‘s flagship enterprise security platform.
The DigitalPersona platform already supported PIN, password, smart card, and fingerprint security. Now, version 2.3 of the platform also includes BehavioSense, BehavioSec’s solution for assessing typing patterns for user authentication.
In a statement announcing the integration, Crossmatch Authentication Market Director Jeff Carpenter called BehavioSec’s solution “well-established and proven technology that already serves more than 35 million end users,” adding that its integration into DigitalPersona “offers great added value to customers”.
The integration appears to reflect growing interest in behavioral biometrics in the digital security market, with Samsung SDS having recently integrated behavioral biometrics technology from BioCatch into its NexSign authentication platform. The technology is increasingly seen as offering an additional layer of security to authentication and anti-fraud systems.
