UK Construction Firm BAM Western Chooses Biometrics Partner

BAM Western, a UK-based construction company, has chosen BioSite as its standard access control solutions provider.

BioSite is a provider of biometric access control technology, and is focused on the construction industry. The company recently received £4 million in funding from Mobeus Equity Partners, and is evidently enjoying a rising profile.

BAM Western selected BioSite after its sister company, the industrial plant-focused BAM Plant, deployed BioSite technology at various sites of operation; but it was nevertheless a choice made after “a rigorous selection process,” according to BAM Western Construction Director Manager Graham Kingdom. He added that his team was “particularly impressed with Biosite’s reporting capability at group level and their integrated product offering and ability to scale in the future.”

The use of biometric access control and time and attendance tracking appears to be particularly popular in the UK’s construction industry, leading to a booming yet competitive market in which BioSite has an increasingly solid footing.
