Biometric software services company Aware Inc. has announced that its CaptureSuite solution has been chosen by a European government to be deployed at its borders.
Using the CaptureSuite fingerprint solution will enable the border agency of the country — which is yet to be identified — to quickly capture the biometric fingerprint data of travelers crossing its borders, with the goal of reducing cue times without sacrificing the quality of the captured prints.
CaptureSuite is a set of three Aware software development kits (SDKs) that use multiple fingerprint biometrics algorithms to enable rapid fingerprint capture and assurance that is independent of the device being used to capture the fingerprint image.
“Aware has been a trusted biometric vendor to important European countries for many years,” said Bob Eckel, Aware’s CEO & President. “We are proud to continue our mission to assist our government partners to protect their sovereign borders with a modern, optimized, fingerprint capture system.”
The U.S.-based Aware has been supplying the American government with its CaptureSuite solution for years now, and as recently as February CaptureSuite was chosen by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency (CBP) to be deployed at land and border crossings.
Also in February, Aware announced that a number of Latin American banks would be incorporating its Knomi authentication platform into their mobile apps, taking advantage of its facial recognition and liveness detection for extra security for customers accessing their bank accounts remotely.
