Today, Aware, Inc. – a biometric software and services provider – announced it’s newest software development kit: INQUIRE.
INQUIRE is an acronym for INformation QUality and Identity Resolution Engine. The SDK compliments biometric search and match operations, featuring its own text-based filter, search, match and link algorithms.
David Benini, Aware’s VP of marketing explains what INQUIRE brings to the table, saying that the introduction of INQUIRE reflects the usefulness of text-based identity data in biometric systems.
“The ability to interpret textual identity data adds a dimension of analysis that is powerful not only for discovery of insightful identity information, but also towards characterizing identity data and optimizing its effectiveness,” says Benini. “By bundling these algorithms in an SDK form factor, INQUIRE gives developers the flexibility to apply them in a highly customizable fashion towards enhancing and optimizing end-user solutions.”
Aware’s new SDK allows developers to incorporate data integration, data quality analysis, identity resolution, fuzzy text search and match with similarity scoring, name and address matching, link analysis, and biometric pre- and post-search filtering capabilities into client and server based applications. Customers may also deploy INQUIRE as a software module through BioSP, Aware’s Biometric Services Platform.
Earlier this year, in March, Aware introduced its Nexa family of SDKs. In an interview with FindBiometrics concerning the Nexa announcement, David Benini spoke about the company’s intention of releasing more software products.
“Our renewed focus as a company on biometrics software is enabling us to improve our research and product development efforts, and so we plan to continue to introduce new software products,” Benini told FindBiometrics on the launch of the Nexa SDKs. “But the tenets of our approach to the market will remain the same: granular a la carte functionality, open architectures, hardware independence, standards compliance, “true COTS” reliability and maintainability, ease-of-use, and technical support.
Aware will be attending the Global Identity Summit next week in Tampa, Florida. its software products, including INQUIRE, will be demonstrated at booth 200.
