Autonomous_ID, a developer of gait-based biometric identification systems, has announced that Denis R. Hebert has joined its Chairman’s Advisory Board.
Hebert, who will join the Board as a principal advisor on biometric identity and access control systems, joins Autonomous_ID with decades of experience working in the industry.
“I am honored to welcome Denis to the Advisory board,” said CEO Todd Gray. “His unparalleled knowledge and industry expertise are a noteworthy endorsement for the company as we pivot to bring our patented autonomous biometric platform and data services to the security, healthcare, insurance and connected IoT markets.”
Currently the president of on-premise or cloud-based integrated access control and security management solution company Feenics, Hebert also serves as the chairman of Nightingale Security.
Hebert’s past positions include his role as the executive vice president of Swedish manufacturing company Assa Abloy, as well as having been president of Honeywell International Company NexWatch, and president and CEO of HID Global Corporation.
“I was attracted by the company’s mission to build a fully autonomous biometric identity system and the commitment that Todd and company executives have to advancing identity security and user privacy at the intersection of IoT,” Hebert said. “I believe that a self-governing biometric system in a connected world necessitates the innovations that autonomous_ID brings to the table. This is unquestionably a generational leap forward in biometric systems, and I am excited to play a role.”
His appointment comes as Autonomous_ID Corporation looks to pivot from its research phase to the deployments of its gait-based biometric identification system and Internet-of-Things (IOT) services.
