authID Signs $2 Million Technology Agreement with EinStrong Foundation

authID has signed a $2 million technology licensing, services and support agreement with the EinStrong Foundation to expand biometric identity checks for its direct cash assistance program. The agreement supports ESi, the foundation’s universal identity system used to identify recipients and distribute donor funds.

EinStrong has paid $1 million for a non-exclusive license to authID technology and committed another $1 million for new biometric deduplication capabilities and engineering support. Deduplication checks whether someone enrolling is already registered, helping the foundation identify duplicate recipients alongside its existing identity verification processes.

The foundation provides cash transfers to vulnerable groups, including single mothers living in poverty. Its programs also support children’s education, sustainable livelihoods and improvements to local environments. Its proprietary app connects donors with families across multiple continents and uses biometric checks to establish who is accessing the assistance.

The organizations have worked together for more than two years. EinStrong integrated authID authentication into its ESi app before the new licensing agreement, enabling recipient identity checks within the foundation’s donation process.

EinStrong Chief Operating Officer Steven Cho said the biometric platform has helped give sponsors confidence in how funds reach recipients. The foundation intends to extend its work through the additional technology and support. Established in 2019 and headquartered in Southern California, it receives support from individuals and organizations in Asia and Europe.

authID CEO Thomas Szoke said monthly cash operating expenses are now roughly 40 percent below their level in the first quarter of 2026. He described the agreement as part of the company’s fourth-quarter business outlook.

Separately, authID has agreed to a private placement of senior secured convertible debentures and warrants expected to generate about $1.35 million in gross proceeds. Closing is expected to begin around October 6, subject to customary conditions. The company plans to use the net proceeds for working capital and general corporate purposes. Holders of debentures issued in April have also agreed to extend maturity to February 28, 2027.

The company’s biometric platform also serves workplace authentication. An industrial automation business selected authID for Microsoft Entra ID and ServiceNow, covering employee and contractor onboarding, service desk checks and account recovery.
