authID and Trinsic Add Digital ID Acceptance to Biometric Proof Product

June 17, 2026

authID has partnered with Trinsic to add digital identity acceptance to its Proof verification product, letting businesses verify government-issued and private-sector digital credentials and bind them to the person presenting them. The integration pairs Trinsic’s network of digital ID issuers with authID’s biometric verification, aimed at high-assurance onboarding that can draw on a trusted credential rather than a fresh document scan.

The Trinsic side supplies breadth of acceptance. Through a single integration, Proof can verify credentials from more than 70 digital ID issuers across over 50 countries, including mobile driver’s licenses, national ID apps, European eIDs, and bank-based digital identities, and can switch between a digital credential and physical document verification when a user does not have a supported digital ID. That coverage is what lets an onboarding flow accept whatever trusted credential a given user already holds.

The authID side supplies the binding to a real person. The company’s biometric verification ties a credential to the individual using it, drawing on its approach of replacing stored biometric templates with cryptographic keys derived from a face match, so a credential becomes reusable and resistant to being handed off or phished. The combination is meant to address the two questions a relying party has at onboarding: whether a credential is genuine, and whether the person presenting it is its rightful holder.

“Digital IDs only create value when they’re both widely accepted and strongly bound to the real person using them,” said Rhon Daguro, Chief Executive Officer of authID. Riley Hughes, Chief Executive Officer of Trinsic, said the partnership pairs broad digital ID acceptance with biometric assurance to set a standard for globally deployable digital identity.

The deal connects two threads of the digital-credential market. Trinsic has built an acceptance network spanning reusable identity wallets, with partners including Yoti and CLEAR, while authID has been extending its biometric platform into enterprise onboarding, as with its IDX platform launched with NESIC. The partnership joins the acceptance layer to the biometric-binding layer.
