authID.ai has announced a slew of new hires and high-level executive appointments. The company is hoping that the new faces will fuel its expansion and accelerate the growth of its digital identity verification business.
The new hires are Christabel Bugla and Brittney Liburd, who join the company as the new Vice President of Customer Success and the new Senior Product Marketing Manager, respectively. Bulga previously served as the Director of Customer Success at Prove, and has extensive experience in the identity industry following stints with Socure and Jumio. Liburd, meanwhile, has been developing authentication and security marketing programs for over a decade, and will be asked to push authID.ai’s technology to businesses in new markets. Bulga, on the other hand, will manage the company’s relationships with existing clients.
Grace de Fries and Max Umarov are the company’s new internal appointments. de Fries has acted as Chief of Staff for the past five years, and will now be taking on a new challenge as the Senior Vice President of Communications and Investor Relations. Umarov has been with the company for more than ten years, and contributed to a patent that authID.ai received for a new biometric transaction system. He will be asked to maintain the company’s product pipeline as the new Vice President of Solution Engineering.
Finally, authID.ai Founder and Chief Solutions Architect Tom Szoke will be moving on to a role as Founder Emeritus. Szoke had previously served as Director, CEO, and COO since co-founding Innovation in Motion in 2009.
“To realize our vision of transforming identity authentication, we want to first foster an inclusive, winning culture,” said authID.ai CEO Tom Thimot. “To that end, our leadership team has recruited exceptionally qualified talent in key positions to deliver products based on ethical AI that better serve the marketplace and broader society. I am proud of the global cohort of experts we have built, and I look forward to collaborating with each of them to give our customers a more convenient and secure path to identity verification.”
authID.ai noted that more than half of the new execs are women and/or people of color, which is in keeping with the company’s broader diversity initiatives. The company also added four new people to its Board of Directors in June, while Thimot and President and CTO Tripp Smith signed on to their roles with the company’s rebrand from Ipsidy earlier that same month.
