Auraya has released an updated version of its EVA Voice Biometrics platform. EVA version 2.0 is available through the AWS Marketplace, and can be deployed by any organization that runs their cloud contact center through Amazon Connect.
Those that do so will be able to replace knowledge-based identifiers like PINs and security questions with secure biometric authentication. The original EVA debuted in July of 2019, and was designed specifically for the Amazon Connect platform. Companies that activate the solution will have their fees rolled into their monthly AWS bill for added simplicity.
The updates will make EVA easier to install, and improve performance in a variety of ways. With regards to setup, EVA will default to using SSL to secure all traffic, while clients will no longer need to provide ACM SSL certificates in advance. From there, organizations will be able to select one of two different security settings based on their particular needs. Organizations that want to minimize costs can deploy on public subnets, while those that want a higher level of security can choose to invest in private subnets for additional protection.
EVA 2.0 also improves Auraya’s transactional pricing model to create more savings for clients. Auraya’s platform will scale automatically based on demand, making the service more affordable for smaller businesses with a lower volume of incoming calls. Meanwhile, the expanded array of self-service options will reduce the number of calls that require the attention of a human agent, which will in turn allow those agents to handle those calls more efficiently.
Auraya added OpenID Connect 1.0 compatibility to EVA shortly after launching the Voice Biometrics platform back in 2019. The company has since provided voice recognition technology for AISB’s Voice Biometric Engine, and integrated Zendesk’s Support and Guide services into its own biometric portfolio. Fortune Business Insights has identified Auraya as one of the key players in a $28 billion voice recognition market.
