Armalytix Launches Identity Service to Streamline Verification for Professional Firms

Armalytix, a UK-based regtech founded in 2020, has launched a new Identity Service designed to simplify ID verification and regulatory compliance for professional services firms. The platform is tailored for lawyers, accountants, conveyancers, and financial advisers, offering an integrated interface that combines digital ID checks with financial data intelligence.

Comprehensive Verification Tools

The Identity Service brings together multiple verification capabilities, including NFC-enabled ID checks, facial recognition, liveness detection, sanctions screening, mortality register checks, proof of address, and ongoing monitoring. For conveyancers, the platform provides Safe Harbour-compliant ID and KYC services, a key requirement for secure property transactions. All features can be accessed directly through the Armalytix platform or integrated into existing workflows via APIs, giving firms flexibility in how they adopt the service.

“Understanding your customer is no longer a tick-box exercise, it’s the foundation of trust and compliance,” said Richard McCall, Chief Executive of Armalytix. “With our new ID service, we’re giving firms the power to verify identities quickly, accurately, and all in one place.”

Company Background and Industry Context

Armalytix specializes in financial data intelligence, open banking, and compliance solutions, helping firms streamline onboarding while addressing anti-money laundering (AML) obligations. Since its founding, the company has been recognized with multiple awards, including Legal Supplier of the Year at the British Conveyancing Awards 2025. McCall, a qualified accountant and aerospace engineer, co-founded the company after senior roles at Deloitte, Merrill Lynch, Citi, Sun Trading, and ITI Capital.

The launch of the Identity Service comes amid a wider push across professional and financial services toward digital identity solutions. Firms are increasingly adopting biometric technologies to strengthen security and reduce friction in client onboarding. Earlier this year, WEX adopted Trulioo biometrics for European fuel card customers, reflecting growing demand for automated KYC tools. The integration of identity checks with financial data collection differentiates Armalytix by allowing firms to assess both identity and financial risk in a single process.

By embedding biometrics and compliance tools into one platform, Armalytix aims to reduce operational burdens on professional services firms while reinforcing security and regulatory oversight. The company sees its Identity Service as part of a broader shift in which digital identity becomes a cornerstone of trust in financial and legal services.
