BIO-key has been helping Microsoft to spread the word about Windows 10’s biometric security capabilities.
The companies recently concluded a 12-city tour that placed a spotlight on Windows Hello, the biometric security apparatus that comes built into the new Windows 10 operating system. BIO-key is helping users to take advantage of Windows Hello via its fingerprint sensor devices; BIO-key is Microsoft’s exclusive biometric solutions partner, and as such its devices are compatible with Windows 10, offering plug-and-play functionality with respect to Windows Hello.
Speaking to Small Cap Nation‘s Jane King, BIO-key CEO Mike DePasquale emphasized the utility of these biometric security options to both enterprise users and consumers in the mass market, and showed off his company’s SideSwipe and EcoID USB scanner solutions. DePasquale also highlighted the “huge market” that Microsoft’s efforts with Windows 10 is opening up to these biometric security solutions, noting that in the last two months alone Microsoft has upgraded the OS’s of 110 million customers.
It’s an exciting time for the company and for Microsoft, not to mention the hundreds of millions of users who stand to benefit from the companies’ promotion of biometric security solutions.
