Vision-Box recently found a major promotional opportunity for its biometric border control solutions. The company sponsored a conference on the theme of “Europe and the refugees – risks and opportunities” at this year’s SEF/SCIF Annual Congress, a meeting of the Portuguese Immigration and Borders Service (SEF) and its union.
Vision-Box has been a key partner in helping SEF to establish Portugal’s Automated Border Control (ABC) systems, and as such the Annual Congress afforded the company an opportunity to highlight its contributions so far and to further promote its solutions for the management of the refugee crisis currently affecting all of Europe. Many of those solutions revolve around Vision-Box’s recently-launched Orchestra platform, which aims at securing all land, air, and sea borders.
With its previous work with SEF and its founders’ recent win of the Portuguese EY Entrepreneur of the Year award, Vision-Box already enjoys a high profile in its home country. But it’s now working with the government to promote its solutions to the rest of Europe, with deployments such as its La Línea de la Concepción project already helping to secure Schengen borders. And as the refugee crisis continues, it appears likely that Vision-Box will see further interest from European authorities who are increasingly interested in biometric border solutions.
