Vision-Box has officially launched its Orchestra platform, taking a turn in the spotlight at last week’s Future Travel Experience expo in Singapore.
The platform first emerged as a biometric security system designed to streamline the passenger screening experience at airports. In that aim, it proved successful, with examples like Vision-Box’s Aruba Happy Flow project helping to demonstrate how biometric technology can be used to automate the screening process while reducing passenger wait times.
Earlier this year, the underlying technology found its name and brand when it was dubbed Orchestra and announced at the Passenger Terminal Expo in Cologne, where Vision-Box promoted it as a security screening solution not just for airports but for land and sea border checkpoints, too. Since then, it has further evolved and is now a comprehensive platform designed not only to facilitate a virtually fully automated passenger processing system, but also a sophisticated passenger analytics system that can be used to assess where and why passengers are spending their time while also letting authorities more closely monitor suspicious persons.
It’s a solution that likely holds some appeal to many of the attendees at last week’s Future Travel Experience expo, where Vision-Box helped to showcase its technology with a live demo.
