Security systems and software provider Viscount Systems will be helping secure high-rise buildings in Canada with it’s MESH Touch Screen intercom systems, announcing today that the company has received commitments for the physical access intercoms valued at approximately $500,000.
According to Viscount president Stephen Pineau, this is the largest project involving MESH systems the company has ever received. The MESH Touch Screen intercom systems that are subject of this order have the option of additional security in the form of Freedom Encryption Bridge access control: a system that allows for physical access devices including biometrics and ID cards to integrate with existing IT infrastructure.
Speaking to this functionality Pineau said, “Many integrators who had been purchasing separate access control systems for their MESH systems are now beginning to switch to Freedom so our intercom business is beginning to drive additional Freedom access control revenue.”
The initial order of the Canadian MESH systems has already begun to ship, and the deployment will take place over the coming year.
