Veridium has taken the opportunity of this week’s RSA Conference to launch a new authentication solution for the enterprise. Called VeridiumAD, the platform is designed for deployment in Microsoft Active Directory environments.
Like VeridiumID, the company’s flagship biometric authentication platform, the new solution supports multiple biometric modalities. But it’s also meant for easy integration with Windows, and lets users authenticate using biometric scanning either through their phones or via their computer camera, with the option of either replacing archaic password-based security with biometrics, or using biometrics as a second factor. And the platform is also compatible with the Citrix Storefront app store.
The platform’s launch at RSA 2017 represents an opportunity for the company to assert itself in the enterprise market after rebranding from its previous name, Hoyos Labs, and appointing a new CEO last year. The company is showcasing the solution throughout the RSA Conference, which will run from February 13th to 17th.
